Jim Greco

Recently, he was promoted to Distinguished Faculty Associate. Jim has been the costume studio supervisor at the UW-Madison since the fall of 2001. His design work for University Theatre: The Taffetas, The Mikado, The House I Call Love, The Woman in Black, I Do! I Do!, Wondrous Tales II, The Mousetrap, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Greater Tuna, At the Ark at Eight, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, Revised, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, and Little Shop of Horrors, Sonnets for an Old Century (Costumes), Rashomon, and the upcoming Don Juan; for the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa: The Rocky Horror Show, Abundance and Orpheus Descending; for Indiana Repertory Theatre: Shirley Valentine, for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival; Road to Mecca, Steel Magnolias, Painting Churches and a number of musical reviews. He has draped for a number of regional theatres including The Madison Repertory Theatre, American Players Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Hartford Stage, Opera Theatre of St. Louis and others. He has managed the costume shop for ASF, Indiana Rep., The Berkshire Theatre Festival, University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa, and GeVa Theatre. At the UW-Madison he teaches the costume section of Technical Theatre Fundamentals, Sewing for the Theatre, Principles and Practice of Costume Design I and II, Draping, Tailoring, Costume Crafts, and Makeup for the Theatre as well as overseeing lab students in the costume studio.
